Dillon Chevrolet awarded the Human Service Forum Business Award! On Thursday, May 27, the Human Service Forum recognized Dillon Chevrolet's support of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the Business Award at their 2018 Annual Awards Banquet. Dillon Chevrolet co-owners brothers Jay & Tom Dillon, Jr. were present to accept their award, and were accompanied by family members, employees, and The United Arc Leadership Team, along with several Board Members. The United Arc Annual Business Meeting This yearly gathering of our membership featured The United Arc Awards, the election of members to the Board of Directors, and our Auction Kickoff! Congratulations to The United Arc Employees of the Year: Teddy Doucette, Serena Hause, Barbara Jaillet, Mary Lunny, Courtney Whiting! We appreciate the constant hard work of each of these employees as critical to the success of The United Arc. We recognized Kathy Coles with the Canedy Award, and honored Doreen & Michelle Gallien with the Dittfach Award. In their own ways, each of these women has made significant contributions to promote understanding and support throughout the North Quabbin community. We were surprised by a generous gift from the Kiwanis Club of Bernardston, presented by Russell Deane in memory of Lillian Deane. The Deane family has supported The United Arc's work for decades, and we are greatly touched by the support of the Kiwanis Club of Bernardston. Five packages were auctioned, kicking off The United Arc 2018 Auction season. Our last package of the night was Greenfield Golf & Dinner at Terrazza, offered by The Country Club of Greenfield and Terrazza Ristorante! Congratulations to Margaret on winning the Magic Mystery Box Raffle! We offer our deep appreciation to Tom Campbell, Ann Dorr, and Mary Siano for their many contributions to The United Arc as board members. Welcome to our new members: Bruce Biagi, Francis Campbell, and Jessica Howard. Thank you Doreen Gallien, Mary Fernsebner, and Janice Herlihy for renewing your terms of service. Thank you to our Lead Sponsor Greenfield Cooperative Bank/Northampton Cooperative Bank Division and our Associate Sponsor, The Gaudreau Group, for making this celebration possible! |

Congrats to our Grads! On Sunday, May 13, Brian Ross and Saera Hanlon were each conferred degrees from Marlboro College in Vermont as Masters of Business Administration, with concentrations in Managing Mission Driven Organizations. They have been bringing those skills to their work at The United Arc. Congratulations Brian! Congratulations Saera! We at The United Arc encourage our staff to further their education, which increases our professionalism and improves our access to critical skills. In 2015, The Ed Porter Fund was established to support the continuing and higher education of The United Arc staff. |
